First let's build the foundation to jazz piano:

1.  How to add jazz chords to your music.  Adding
Substitution Chords
sets the foundation, learn exact methods of how and why and then
apply the chords to jazz music.
2.  Once you  have your chords, you will add color tones (
extensions)
to your chords.  Extensions are the 9th's, 11th's and 13ths'.
It's actually EASY, when you know exact formulas.
3.  Start opening up the left hand in open harmony.  This left hand
position can be used in all music, Latin, Country, Hymns, Pop, Blues.

Next you will learn Jazz Scales.

1.  You will Learn Major Scales, Minor Scales, Modal Scales, and synthetic Scales.
2.  There is a lesson on each scale and then you apply your lesson to songs.
LEARN EXACTLY: How to add these scales to your music, which chords you
will use, and exact methods to improvisation.
3.  Start styling with comping Chords and play bass lines.
4.
HOW TO PLAY BLUES PIANO,  Blues piano is so much fun. Learn how to add blues to your favorite music.

I know this sounds simplistic, but as everything in music it does take practicing.

So many students are frustrated with learning Jazz, and again, it is a step by
step process.  Anyone can learn when it is taught in exact formulas.

Next you will learn and play left hand styling:

1.  Play bass lines
2.  Improvisation on jazz and blues
3.  Play Quartal Chords
4.  Open Harmony for new age music, and all contemporary songs.

Prerequisite: Know your 7 chords, and Major and Minor Scales.
All this is taught in the Intermediate Lessons

LEARNING JAZZ PIANO IS KNOWLEDGE AND APPLICATION:
Learning jazz can be made easy if you learn step by step, and then
learn exactly how to apply your knowledge to songs.
