These tips & tricks can be used for playing jazz or any ontemporary music.  The exmple I’m using is the song,   silentnight,mp3.  Here is the music playing a jazz piano style to Silent Night.

Let’s use C chord as an example.  The notes in C chord are C-E-G, and are called,  the root-3rd & 5th tones.

1.  Play the root & 5th (C & G) in the left hand, on low C & G.

This is played on beat 1

2.  Next, move the left hand up around middle C and play the C chord, in any preferred inversion.

In the arrangement:
1.  Add tones to the right hand
2.  Added the Bb Scale in the intro and ending 1
3.  Opened up the right hand harmony
4.  Add a run in the ending
