LESSON 14 INSTRUCTIONS:

Now the fun starts, you will start playing blues w/chords already in your lessons.


1.  Finger Exercise:  Page 5 is for the left hand and practices the fingers crossing over and under.  This should be the first part of your practice.  I suggest to start with page 4, then move to page 5 and practice part I. 

Day 2 practice page 4 and part II  of page 5. 

Day 3 practice page 4 and part II of page 5. 

Day 4 start practicing page 4 and the complete page 5.


2.   Rhythm/Chords:  Playing C, F and G chords.  This is a practice
      moving from 1 chord to the next.  Practice page 24, count and
      use the correct fingers.

Page 25 uses C, F and G chords, using only whole notes I have  recorded a blues song so that you can accompany the piano while playing the chords on page 25.  This will be fun, plus help you to keep a rhythm.  Download the midi to a media player, like windows and save, so you can go to your computer and play it at any time. I played a low C for 4 beats for a count off so we can start playing at the same time.  You can play the song 3 times consecutively.
